Home Welcome to the South Holland Youth Council Website Hello and welcome to the South Holland Youth Council website. The SHYC was set up in July 2006, following elections in secondary schools to appoint young people as members. Being a democratic organisation, a new cabinet of members was elected to the youth council in March 2008. This website aims to inform the youth of South Holland what the council is doing for them, as after all that's what the SHYC is here for. Information for the SHYC members, such as meeting dates and minutes, can also be found on this site.
